Creative Knockouts Challenge #338- Flower Power- SheepSki Designs

Hello my crafty friends! It’s time for another challenge over at The Creative Knockouts!

Our theme for this week is: Flower Power! We challenge you to use flowers on your card whether it be a part of your image, your paper or mebellishments.

Our sponsor is: SheepSki Designs

This is my card using the image called Giant Daisies.

As you might know me by now, you know that I loooooove gnomes! And I love Daisies too, so it was not hard for me to choose one stamp this weeks challenge!

This is how I made my card:

  1. First, I printed this incredibly fun digital stamp “Giant Daisies” on a somewhat thicker paper.
  2. Then I colored it with my alcohol markers For the shading I used some color pencils too.
  3. I cut my colored image into a square and matted on a blue piece of cardstock.
  4. When I was cutting the image I thought it might be nice to do the Daisie flower in 3D effect.
  5. So I printed the image out twice and colored the daisie, cut it out and put it with a piece of foam on to the original image.
  6. I add some glitter to the heart of the daisie flower. Just for a little fun.
  7. Than I glued my image on a larger piece of pattern paper with the same blue blackground as the image.
  8. I stamped the Happy Birthday stamp with versamark ink on black cardstock and embossed it with the heat gun and white embossing powder.
  9. And last but not least I added two tiny hearts onto the card.

With this card I would love to play along in the following challenges:

Creative Knockouts Challenge #336-Love/Valentine's Day-The Paper Shelter

Hello my crafty friends! It’s time for another challenge over at The Creative Knockouts!

Our theme for this week is: LOVE!

Our sponsor is: The Paper Shelter

This is my card using the image called Love is Chemistry.

When I first saw this very cute illustration, I immediately thought of the song “Love potion number 9”. It was in my head all the time while I was crafting!

How I made my card:

  1. First, I printed this incredibly fun digital stamp “Love is Chemistry” on a somewhat thicker paper.
  2. Then I colored it with my promarkers.
  3. I like this stamp so much that I don’t want too much hassle around it. On the background of the card I decided to stick some nice designer paper on top of each other..
  4. Then I punched out some hearts and the letters LOVE and stuck them on my card.

And it really isn’t any more! But that is not necessary. The illustration of The Paper Shelter is beautiful enough!

With this card I would love to play along in the following challenges:

Place to Start February Challenge: Create A Masculine Card or Project

I have also recently become a design team member of the incredibly fun challenge blog A Place to Start! Place to Start has a new challenge starting today!!! Here is my first contribution for the month of February.

The theme this month is: Create A Masculine Card or Project.
Please click on the link to join in the fun, I can’t wait to see what you create!!!

Here is my card, I hope you like it!!!

How I made my card:
1. I first picked out some nice design paper.
2. Then I cut out a square on white card stock. Here I used my sunshine stencil and blended it with a
distress ink on a white square. I put some sequins in it, pasted a piece of accetate in front of it and
stuck it on my card.
3. I found the white square frame a bit boring, so I also edited that with some blue distress ink.
Then I stamped and colored my balloons, cut them out and stuck them on the card. Along with some
small white clouds.
4. And finally, with I used a small stamp to stamp the text “Have A Fabulous Birthday” on the top edge of
the frame.

Thank you for your visit and your visit to my card making web blog. I hope to see you next time! And bBe sure and join in our monthly challenge at a Place to Start Blog!

Perfect Purples

Beautiful, all those shades of purple in this paperpad. And those hydrangeas really make me long for the summer, when we can sit in our garden again!

This 6 x 6 design paper pad (Craftsensations), is in my stash for… uhm, wel for a long time! So when I saw the sketch challenge at Creative Sketchy Girls, I immediately know what to do with it! The butterfly comes from a die-cut I have bought recently from a Ali-shop.

Very nice that you will come to visit my blog again! I hope to see you again soon! Happy crafting!

Anything Goes Challenges

I love all those whimsical Fairy Stamps. They come in all sizes and brands and you see so many different techniques where these stamps are good for. So I could not wait to start a card with one of the stamps.

I have spend a whole saterday evening and sunday crafting! I first have to choose some nice cardstock and design papers. Than I have to trie the stamping technique and then I have to choose which stamp I should use. Then I have die cutted the circles for the card and stamped all the flowers. Colored them in and place them on my card. I say: succeed! What do you think?

With this card, I would like to play in the following challenges:

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and I hope you will leave me a comment and that you come back next time! Bye, bye,

First post as a DT member!

I’m so excited to announce that I have joined the Creative Knockouts Design Team! I look forward to sharing some super fun challenges with you for this super creative team.
I’m jumping right in with Challenge #334 – In Stitches sponsored by The Artsy Stamper!

I was excited to work with the Love Birds Digital Stamp. It’s beautiful! I think you can use this stamp for various occasions too! As a Valentine’s Day card, a card for a wedding couple or a card to offer someone sympathy. Everything is possible!

Here is what I have created:

I first printed out the digi. Then I started to color the print with distress inks (mustard seed, picked raspberry, spiced marmalade and mowed lawn). I stamped the distress inks on a piece of plastic and sprayed some water on it. Then I dipped my digi print in the inks. I have repeated the entire process one more time to get nice, bright colors. I have put my print aside for a while to let it dry very well.
I then pasted a bright pink card onto a blank card. And I splattered on a square white card with some blue colors of watercolorpaints. Then I cut out and pasted my “Lovebirds” stamp on my card. I have colored the eyes of the birds a bit with a white gel pen.
Finally, I stamped a line with my “stitch stamp” and placed the birds on the card so that it looks like the lovebirds are on it. And of course I stuck some sequins to the card and then my card was ready.

With the Lovebirds stamp the card has become a beautiful mixed media artwork! It was very nice to make, simple and with a good result! I love that.

I want to thank you for visiting my blog and wish you lots of fun with the challenge on Creative Knockouts!
Until next time!

Anything goes with some aquamarkers and cute flora stamps

Today is Sunday in the Netherlands. A lot of time to make a card. I finally wanted to get started with my aquamarkers. I bought them but have hardly used them yet!

First I stamped the flowers with Versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder from Lawnfawn. (Stamps are from Aliexpress).
Then I picked out a number of aqua markers from Craft Sensations. Beforehand I made a color scheme that I thought would be nice, first on a sketch sheet .
The markers are very clear in color, so I had to be very careful when coloring. Some leaves only needed a small dot of color!
After each “dot” of color, I immediately spread the colors with a little brush with a little water.
To bring a little more life into the brewery, I sprinkled a few splashes of watercolor on the card with a wet brush.
And finally I stamped a text with Ranger Distress Archival INK (dusty concord). And very carefully with regular distress ink (tea dye) a very light border around the card.
Finally I mounted the card on a black piece of cardstock and then stuck everything on a green card.

I really think that the color combination has become beautiful.

Have a great sunday, and thanks so much for looking xxx
