A snowman’s card

I like this paper because of the colors. The red and the mint with white: beautiful! And these snowmen stamps are also timeless! I also used a border dies that came with my BigShot Plus machine. It is a very large dies and till now I only used it for scrapbooking projects. The stamps look a bit vintage but still looking great on this somewhat cooler paper! The sketch I used with these cards, comes from “Cardmaking and Papercraft”, one of my favorite magazines about cardmaking. I entering up in 7 challenges! I used the prompts: christmas, faux stichting (I explained later on my post why this is my favorite kind of style, I used different kind of alcohol markers, there are some nice stars in the background and on one card I have used the theme V= for Velocity!

I had to look up what “velocity” meant, but when I discovered it out, I was sure that these stamps were completely good for this challenge!

When I was working on the card, I thought it would be nice to stamp an extra snowman and place him just outside the plane! I put him on a little piece of 3D-tape. This paper is very cute with the snow and little stars at the background! It matches perfectly for the different challenges!

And as often with card making, I thought after making one card: “you know what, I make a a few more!” Encouraged by the beautiful paper and the nice stamps.

The sentiment I have used: “Fijne Feestdagen” means “Happy Holidays”. I saw in the magazine that someone had stamped the sentiment on a piece of patternpaper. It looked very nice and I thought “I try that too”! It look much prettier than just stamping on a plane white piece of paper!
I did my “favorite” stiching style around the card too. I just draw the little stiching lines whit a fineliner. This is my favorite style of stichting because it is simple and easy! And I like “simple and easy” very much!

I colored the images with different brand of alcoholmarkers and because of that, I stamped them with Memento ink. But the sentiment on the little tags is stamped with Ranger archival ink.

Challenges I would like to enter are:
ABC Christmas-u or v are for V=Velocity
WinterWonderland-merry and bright
Addictedtostampsandmore-362/make your mark (Misc. Alcoholmarkers)
Sweetstampinchristmas-oct/ag option stars
AYLI/fav stitching– faux either drawn or with a die

I hope you enjoyed looking around here as much as I did making the cards! Thank you very much for your visit and I hope you will come and see again soon!
