Digi Choosday Challenge / Wk 34 – Autumn (use autumn colors) – Polkadoodles

It’s Tuesday! New challenge starts over at Digi Choosday today! As always it is anything goes but the design team is sharing their makes with a given theme: Autumn / use autumn colors!
This is my card:

When I made this card, it was still full in summer! In fact, there was a heat wave. I made this card puffing and sweating 🙂 I wanted to experiment with a distress background technique! And I punched leaves out of the edge with a simple old fashioned paper punch.

Details about my card:
– First I made the background card with a few beautiful autumn colors of distress ink;
– then I punched out a border of leaves in the background;
– I printed out the very cute digistamp at Polkadoodles, called Nature Lover (you will find it here: the
digistamp) and I printed out some of the distress ink paper spots design paper;
– I colored Nature Lover – digi stamp with my alcohol markers;
I punched some leaves from the distress design paper;
– the text: “Thanks” comes from the Winnie Heroes printable downloadbundle;
– in photoshop elements I made the text white and put it on a black background;
– then I cut out my text and pasted it on the card;
– then I pasted everything on: suggesting that the leaves are whirling down from the punched-out leaves
in the edge;
– I cut a card from fresh white cardstock;
– I glued everything on the white base card.

I really love the colors and the little fall scene on the card too!

Wishing you all the best and hope to see you next time again! Good luck with challenge at

Creative Knockouts Challenge #364- Garden Party- SheepSki Designs

Hello my crafty friends! It’s time for another challenge over at The Creative Knockouts!

Our theme for this week is: Something to say! We challenge you to use a sentiment on your card!

Our sponsor is: SheepSki Designs

This is my card using the image called Garden Party.

As you might know me by now, you know that I loooooove gnomes! So it was not hard for me to work on this weeks challenge!

This is how I made my card:

  1. First, I printed this incredibly fun digital stamp “Garden Party” on a somewhat thicker paper.
  2. Then I colored it with my alcohol markers For the shading I used some color pencils too.
  3. I cut my colored image into a square and matted on a yellow piece of cardstock.
  4. Than I glued my image on a larger piece of pattern paper from Marianne Design.
  5. When I was coloring the image, I was singing: “let’s get this party started…” so you know now how I came up with this sentiment.
  6. I decided that this card was finished and it does not need more embellishing.

With this card I would love to play along in the following challenges:
Word Art Wednesday – Anything Goes
The Card Concept – Inspiration photo
Crafty Gals Corner – Summerfun
Crafty Creations Challenge – Anything Goes

Aud Sentiments Challenge #258 – Anything goes

Hello you out there somewhere! How are you doing today? Are you ready for a new challenge at Aud Sentiments Challenge blog?

The theme for Challenge #258 is Anything goes + A Sentiment. the design team has no special assignment this time and can use whatever is available. Now that seems a bit too much to me. But it is nice to make a card with my own stamps again! And since it has been tropical hot here for a few weeks, I thought a tropical card would be nice this time!

I am afraid to say how long I have had this stamp in my possession: for a long time anyway!

Details about my card:
– I made a background with distress ink for the focal point;;
– I cut out different colors and patterns of design papers;
– I stamped and colored mine stamps with my alcohol markers and used the pointillisme technique for
shading some parts of the stamps and the background too;
– I thought that a nice piece of ribbon and a bow will be perfect too;
– I stemped the sentiment “aloha” on a white piece of card and matted it on a matching piece of design
paper and placed everything on my card!

I love how my background is turning out! The card looks very summery, cheerful and the colors match beautifully!

With this card I would love to play along in the following challenges:

Try it on Tuesday – Splash and Splatter
Through the Craftroom Door – Always Anything Goes
Lemon Shortbread Challenge – Anything Goes
Crafty Sentiment Challenge – Anything Goes
Arty Divas Challenge – Just for fun

Digi Choosday Challenge / Wk 32 – Back to school – Polkadoodles

It’s Tuesday! New challenge starts over at Digi Choosday today! As always it is anything goes but the design team is sharing their makes with a given theme: Back to School.
This is my card:

I have made this card for all the mothers 🙂 of all children who go back to school after the holidays! My son has had a total of approximately 1 month of school since February (due to the lockdown). And now and then I can stick him behind the wallpaper 🙂

Details about my card:
-I first printed out the digistamp, the sentiment and the designpaper. This one comes from: Octavia Moonfly – Paper Heaven 3 Digital Craft Download Bundle;
– I colored Jump For Joy – digi stamp with my alcohol markers;
– I cut a card from fresh blue cardstock;
– I glued everything on the blue base card.

To be honest: “hip hip hooray”, you won’t find it in the sentiment pack. But you will find” hip hip hooray, it’s your birthday “, from which I cut a piece with” it’s your birthday “;-)
So even more value for money!

Wishing you all the best and hope to see you next time again! Good luck with challenge at

Aud Sentiments Challenge #257 – Anything goes

Hello you out there somewhere! How are you doing today? Are you ready for a new challenge at Aud Sentiments Challenge blog?

The theme for Challenge #257 is Anything goes + A Sentiment. This challenge is sponsored by Dr Digi’s House of Stamps and here is a card made using the very fun digi stamp Davey Dunderton 🙂

isn’t he a handsome guy? I love these stamps! I think you can send them for so many occasions!

Details about my card:
– Of course I first printed the stamp on sturdy cardstock;
– I colored the stamp with my markers;
– I cut all the paper to size;
– I thought that a bright star in the background would do nicely;
– When the card was finished I thought, “Yeah, you rock!”
– and that’s how sentiment was born 😉 ;
– finally i pasted a little black glimmer in the corner and then my card was ready!

Just like all the other stamps from Dr. Digi, this stamp is also very easy and fun to color!

With this card I would love to play along in the following challenges:

Place to Start August, 2020 Challenge: A Shaker Card

August first Monday, It’s time for a challenge on the Place to Start challenge blog! We ask you to create a shaker card this time. Coincidentally, I needed a birthday card for one of our nephew’s birthday! He loves football very much, so my theme is easy this month!

And this has become my card:

This is how I made my card:
– I looked up on the internet what a football field looks like 🙂
-Then I traced the lines of the football field, with a white gel-roller, on a green top card;
– Then I searched the internet for a coloring picture of a football player who scores a goal;
– I modified this image in MS Word to a small size and printed it out and colored it with my markers;
– I also looked up a football on the internet;
– I also adapted the format in MS Word, printed it out and cut it out;
– With the same size die-cuts I punched a frame for my football;
– I have the football shaker, filled with black and white sequins and beads;
– On the shaker I wrote “congratulations”;
– I also drew some movement with a black gelly roller. Now it looks like the boy shoots the ball towards the goal!

Take good care of yourself! Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope to see you again very soon and in good health! And be sure and join in our monthly challenge at a Place to Start Blog! Please click on the link to join in the fun, I can’t wait to see what you create!!!
