I have also recently become a design team member of the incredibly fun challenge blog A Place to Start! Place to Start has a new challenge starting today!!! Here is my first contribution for the month of February.
The theme this month is: Create A Masculine Card or Project. Please click on the link to join in the fun, I can’t wait to see what you create!!!
Here is my card, I hope you like it!!!
How I made my card: 1. I first picked out some nice design paper. 2. Then I cut out a square on white card stock. Here I used my sunshine stencil and blended it with a distress ink on a white square. I put some sequins in it, pasted a piece of accetate in front of it and stuck it on my card. 3. I found the white square frame a bit boring, so I also edited that with some blue distress ink. Then I stamped and colored my balloons, cut them out and stuck them on the card. Along with some small white clouds. 4. And finally, with I used a small stamp to stamp the text “Have A Fabulous Birthday” on the top edge of the frame.
Thank you for your visit and your visit to my card making web blog. I hope to see you next time! And bBe sure and join in our monthly challenge at a Place to Start Blog!
I would also like to add my card to the following challenges:
Beautiful, all those shades of purple in this paperpad. And those hydrangeas really make me long for the summer, when we can sit in our garden again!
This 6 x 6 design paper pad (Craftsensations), is in my stash for… uhm, wel for a long time! So when I saw the sketch challenge at Creative Sketchy Girls, I immediately know what to do with it! The butterfly comes from a die-cut I have bought recently from a Ali-shop.
Very nice that you will come to visit my blog again! I hope to see you again soon! Happy crafting!
I love all those whimsical Fairy Stamps. They come in all sizes and brands and you see so many different techniques where these stamps are good for. So I could not wait to start a card with one of the stamps.
I have spend a whole saterday evening and sunday crafting! I first have to choose some nice cardstock and design papers. Than I have to trie the stamping technique and then I have to choose which stamp I should use. Then I have die cutted the circles for the card and stamped all the flowers. Colored them in and place them on my card. I say: succeed! What do you think?
With this card, I would like to play in the following challenges:
I’m so excited to announce that I have joined the Creative Knockouts Design Team! I look forward to sharing some super fun challenges with you for this super creative team. I’m jumping right in with Challenge #334 – In Stitches sponsored by The Artsy Stamper!
I was excited to work with the Love Birds Digital Stamp. It’s beautiful! I think you can use this stamp for various occasions too! As a Valentine’s Day card, a card for a wedding couple or a card to offer someone sympathy. Everything is possible!
Here is what I have created:
I first printed out the digi. Then I started to color the print with distress inks (mustard seed, picked raspberry, spiced marmalade and mowed lawn). I stamped the distress inks on a piece of plastic and sprayed some water on it. Then I dipped my digi print in the inks. I have repeated the entire process one more time to get nice, bright colors. I have put my print aside for a while to let it dry very well. I then pasted a bright pink card onto a blank card. And I splattered on a square white card with some blue colors of watercolorpaints. Then I cut out and pasted my “Lovebirds” stamp on my card. I have colored the eyes of the birds a bit with a white gel pen. Finally, I stamped a line with my “stitch stamp” and placed the birds on the card so that it looks like the lovebirds are on it. And of course I stuck some sequins to the card and then my card was ready.
With the Lovebirds stamp the card has become a beautiful mixed media artwork! It was very nice to make, simple and with a good result! I love that.
I want to thank you for visiting my blog and wish you lots of fun with the challenge on Creative Knockouts! Until next time! Deezy
Today is Sunday in the Netherlands. A lot of time to make a card. I finally wanted to get started with my aquamarkers. I bought them but have hardly used them yet!
First I stamped the flowers with Versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder from Lawnfawn. (Stamps are from Aliexpress). Then I picked out a number of aqua markers from Craft Sensations. Beforehand I made a color scheme that I thought would be nice, first on a sketch sheet . The markers are very clear in color, so I had to be very careful when coloring. Some leaves only needed a small dot of color! After each “dot” of color, I immediately spread the colors with a little brush with a little water. To bring a little more life into the brewery, I sprinkled a few splashes of watercolor on the card with a wet brush. And finally I stamped a text with Ranger Distress Archival INK (dusty concord). And very carefully with regular distress ink (tea dye) a very light border around the card. Finally I mounted the card on a black piece of cardstock and then stuck everything on a green card.
I really think that the color combination has become beautiful.
Have a great sunday, and thanks so much for looking xxx
