Hello my crafty friends! It’s time again, for an other challenge over at The Creative Knockouts!

About the challenge:
Our challenge this week is to create a project based on a fun Tic Tac Toe board! You will find this board on our blog. So how this works is: you need to choose one line-straight or diagonal and use all three elements of that line on your project. Be sure to describe what you have used in your project!

About the sponsor:
This challenge is sponsored by: Bugaboo Stamps
Along with images provided to the design team, they have also offered up a prize, you can win: $12 voucher OR approx 4 images to one lucky crafter!

Here is my card, I choose the image called Spring Bunnies.

What do you think of this happy spring trio? Does they not make you extremely happy? And despite the fact that the sun still doesn’t seem very enthusiastic today, with these three happy little friends, you get the spring tickles yourself. Just a “little sunshine on a cloudy day”, wink wink 🙂 Do you hear me humming the song while I was crafting?

Some details about my card:
I choose to go for: distressing, bling and ofcourse the digital stamp “Spring Bunnies“.

Aud Sentiments Challenge #247-Spring / Easter Sentiment – Polkadoodles

First of all, lots of people around the world, are affected by the current health situation. Many of you might be having a difficult time! That is why I like to reach out with positive thoughts and encouragement, and I hope that the community of crafters and artists can be an encouragement in this weird time. Making and sharing crafts and art can be a comforting and helpful a way to refocus our thoughts!

Well, lets go to a new challenge now. I am so honoured to be a new design team member for Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog! Thank you so much for the opportunity. Here is my very first design team card.

Our sponsor is: Polkadoodles and I have used one of the sponsor images: Tulip Darling for my card.

This is my card using the image called Tulip Darling.

“Isn’t she lovely?!” Oh yes, that was what came to my mind, when I first saw this beautiful digistamp. The illustration looks very detailled, but I can asure you that it is very easy to color!

Details about my card:
I used a design paper from my paper stash. It is many years old, I can tell. I thought the spring design will match the theme and the fairy as well. Of course I have to use a sentiment. I did not found any sentiments in my stash that I had in mind (can you believe that? No of course not 😉 ) so I search on the web , found a nice sentiment that fullfilled my needs and printed it also out on a somewhat heavier cardstock. I also printed the image of the fairy out twice and made a kind of a 3D effect with the tullips.

And it really isn’t any more! But that is not necessary. The The Darling Buds Tulip of Polkadoodles is beautiful enough!

With this card I would love to play along in the following challenges:

Wishing you all the best and hope to see you next time again! Good luck with challenge #247 at

Our sponsor is: Leann’s World 101

This is my card using the image called Sher and Mike.

Oh, you know me and my association with all kinds of songs and lyrics while I am crafting. This cute image reminds me of a Dutch child song: “Hanneke en Janneke“. It is a song about two little friends, who are walking under mothers umbrella, while the rain sings a song…

So you now know why I used this design papers in the colors of the Dutch flag: red, white and blue! Besides, on this moment it is realy raining cat’s and dogs out here, so I had a lot of inspiration , to make this card!

This is how I made my card:

  1. First, I printed this incredibly fun digital stamp “Sher and Mike” on a somewhat thicker paper.
  2. Then I colored it with my alcohol markers For the shading I used some color pencils too.
  3. The images is very detailed. I colored it in with just a few colors of my alcohol markers.
  4. I also colored the whole background of my image with a greyish/blue light color. This time I made little rounds with my brushtip of my alcoholmarker, so the backround look like rainy clouds.
  5. When I was working on it, I decided to ad some more details to the image. So I draw a little waterpool around the feets of the characters. And I added some dots to the rain boots of the little girl. And if you noticed: I could not stop being worried about the cold feets of the boy in the waterpool, so I colored the whole slippers blue and it looks now that he has better shoes for this kind of wheater LOL (it was just a happy accident , but do not tell anybody further 😉 )
  6. I matted my colored image into a square piece of design paper.
  7. I add some cute little glitter raindrops to the card. Just for a little fun.
  8. Than I glued my image on a larger piece of cardstock using the same red as my designpapers.
  9. Because with the distressed corners the cards looks a little vintage and so the card became quit eclectic. That is why I thought I could ad a vintage style bow to my card too.

The design paper I have used, is from my stash. I used a paperpack from Marianne Designs, called Dutch Design and I have used a paperpack from Craftsensations.

Now I hope you’ll join us for this fun challenge at the Creative Knock Outs Challenge blog, for your chance to win 2 prices!

With my card I would love to play along in the following challenges:

Creative Knockouts Challenge #338- Flower Power- SheepSki Designs

Hello my crafty friends! It’s time for another challenge over at The Creative Knockouts!

Our theme for this week is: Flower Power! We challenge you to use flowers on your card whether it be a part of your image, your paper or mebellishments.

Our sponsor is: SheepSki Designs

This is my card using the image called Giant Daisies.

As you might know me by now, you know that I loooooove gnomes! And I love Daisies too, so it was not hard for me to choose one stamp this weeks challenge!

This is how I made my card:

  1. First, I printed this incredibly fun digital stamp “Giant Daisies” on a somewhat thicker paper.
  2. Then I colored it with my alcohol markers For the shading I used some color pencils too.
  3. I cut my colored image into a square and matted on a blue piece of cardstock.
  4. When I was cutting the image I thought it might be nice to do the Daisie flower in 3D effect.
  5. So I printed the image out twice and colored the daisie, cut it out and put it with a piece of foam on to the original image.
  6. I add some glitter to the heart of the daisie flower. Just for a little fun.
  7. Than I glued my image on a larger piece of pattern paper with the same blue blackground as the image.
  8. I stamped the Happy Birthday stamp with versamark ink on black cardstock and embossed it with the heat gun and white embossing powder.
  9. And last but not least I added two tiny hearts onto the card.

With this card I would love to play along in the following challenges:

Hello my crafty friends! It’s time for another challenge over at The Creative Knockouts!

Our theme for this week is: LOVE!

Our sponsor is: The Paper Shelter

This is my card using the image called Love is Chemistry.

When I first saw this very cute illustration, I immediately thought of the song “Love potion number 9”. It was in my head all the time while I was crafting!

How I made my card:

  1. First, I printed this incredibly fun digital stamp “Love is Chemistry” on a somewhat thicker paper.
  2. Then I colored it with my promarkers.
  3. I like this stamp so much that I don’t want too much hassle around it. On the background of the card I decided to stick some nice designer paper on top of each other..
  4. Then I punched out some hearts and the letters LOVE and stuck them on my card.

And it really isn’t any more! But that is not necessary. The illustration of The Paper Shelter is beautiful enough!

Anything Goes Challenges

I love all those whimsical Fairy Stamps. They come in all sizes and brands and you see so many different techniques where these stamps are good for. So I could not wait to start a card with one of the stamps.

I have spend a whole saterday evening and sunday crafting! I first have to choose some nice cardstock and design papers. Than I have to trie the stamping technique and then I have to choose which stamp I should use. Then I have die cutted the circles for the card and stamped all the flowers. Colored them in and place them on my card. I say: succeed! What do you think?

With this card, I would like to play in the following challenges:

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and I hope you will leave me a comment and that you come back next time! Bye, bye,

A not so scary halloween card

After a busy weekend (my son turned 16, so we celebrated a big party), I found finally time to do some crafting. Here in the Netherlands, winter time has started this weekend. The days are getting shorter and the dark outside comes much quicker. Through every street runs a shadow rushing for some place to hide … real Halloween time!

With this card, I am more than satisfied with my passion for making cards! Have been wonderfully busy.

I first edited the background with distress ink. And of course I drawn some flashy lightning in it. I then printed out the free digital stamp and colored it with my alcohol markers. I punched a few mounds of black paper with my die-cutting machine. Then I thought the card was a bit bare. That is why I myself drew, colored and cut out the ghost and the two pumpkins. Then I also gave this a nice place on the card. I matted the card on black glitter cardstock. I wrote by hand: “Happy Halloween”, with a white gell pen.

Thank you for your visit and your visit to my card making web blog. I hope to see you next time!

With this card I would like to enter the following challenges:
Addicted to stamps and more – add a pumpkin
CD Sunday Plus Challenge blog – Anything Goes’ as long as something from a craft CD, USB or a Digital image
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends – Always Anything Goes
Allsorts challenge blog – Make your own background

Washitape is a crafters best friend…

This morning I was peeking on youtube. Gerry van Gerry’s Craftroom had a nice video: one that makes your fingers itch. Halfway through, I couldn’t resist getting started myself.

I love tutorials or YouTube videos that inspire you to get started with your own craft supplies. Even though you do not have exactly the same in-house as the youtuber shows, but you can still give it your own twist.

I have therefore also taken my own supply of washitape (Craft Sensation). And instead of alcohol ink I used my ranger distress ink. And of course my Big Shot Plus is used. I used the CUT-IES Spring Swirl (20060) die cut. But I do not know where the leaves came from, I am sorry for that. (I have them for a long time and I store everything in a blank sleeve).

When the card was finished, I decided not to put any text or anything on it. I have stuck everything on a brown card: a color cardstock that I don’t usually use either. All the colors together gave the cards a real Autumn look!

They have become very beautiful: very special. Even though I took the photos in daylight, in real life they are more beautiful than in the photo, I think.

Thank you for visiting my cardmaking blog. I hope you have become as inspired as I was! I wish you a lot of craft fun and I hope you will come back to my blog!

With these cards I want to participate in the following challenges:
Arty Diva’s – Anything Goes
Crafty Sentiment Designs – Anything Goes
Cuttlebug Mania – Autumn Colors
Die Cuttin’Divas – Must include a die-cut: Fabulous Fall
Lemon Shortbread – Anything Goes
Through The Craftroom door – Anything Goes

Harry Potter Halloween Card

I was completely happy with making this card! So nice to do: delicious!
And who doesn’t love Harry Potter now? More reasons to be happy, right ?!

I used a digital image of Harry Potter that I still had on my computer. I have adjusted the format a bit so that it worked out well in the sketch I used. I designed the card’s side a – la the Griffindor scarf. I colored Harry himself nicely with my alcohol markers. I have matted the picture on the colors that match the theme. I also used a lot of black in the card.

When I showed him to my son, he said “Mom, you have to add the Griffindor logo”. I started searching the internet and that logo was found quickly. I have changed the format and printed a tiny logo on my computer. I then pasted this, as it was instructed in the sketch, into the upper right corner.

I say again: this card really makes me happy. It is crafted with a lot of pleasure and it reminded me why I like making cards so much.

I hope you enjoy my card too! In any case, thank you very much for your visit and I hope to see you a next time!
