Hello you out there somewhere! How are you doing today? Are you ready for a new challenge at Aud Sentiments Challenge blog?
Our sponsor is: Di’s Digi Stamps I have used one of the sponsor images: Little Pippa for my card. This week you make a change for a $6 Voucher to Di’s Digi Stamps!
Here is my card: I have used all kind of bits and pieces from my stash!
Isn’t she cute? The sentiment is dutch and it means: “Big Hug”. I cut the flowers of the original digistamp away and put some flowers from my stash in place! I love the vintage look and the cute little Pippa stamp colored with my alcohol markers.
With this card I would love to play along in the following challenges:
Today is Sunday in the Netherlands. A lot of time to make a card. I finally wanted to get started with my aquamarkers. I bought them but have hardly used them yet!
First I stamped the flowers with Versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder from Lawnfawn. (Stamps are from Aliexpress). Then I picked out a number of aqua markers from Craft Sensations. Beforehand I made a color scheme that I thought would be nice, first on a sketch sheet . The markers are very clear in color, so I had to be very careful when coloring. Some leaves only needed a small dot of color! After each “dot” of color, I immediately spread the colors with a little brush with a little water. To bring a little more life into the brewery, I sprinkled a few splashes of watercolor on the card with a wet brush. And finally I stamped a text with Ranger Distress Archival INK (dusty concord). And very carefully with regular distress ink (tea dye) a very light border around the card. Finally I mounted the card on a black piece of cardstock and then stuck everything on a green card.
I really think that the color combination has become beautiful.
Have a great sunday, and thanks so much for looking xxx
I thought I use my “leaves stamp set” to create this little sympathie card (started with the letter “S”). I also have used my circle dies to die-cut a circle card and I have stamped some leaves and some acorns.
I have die-cutted several circles out of different pieces of cardstock. I die-cutted one circle out of glitter cardstok. I die-cutted the smallest circle from white cardstock and I cut this circle in half and then snip the top half into two sections and the bottom half into two sectinons. I used memento ink to stamp the leaves and acorn, because I planned to colour them with my alcohol markers. I added a little distress ink around the white circles. Then I placed each of the segments onto the glitter cardstock, leaving narrow gaps. Layered all the pieces onto the card front using 3D foam pads to finish. When I was almost ready I thougt a little text would be nice too. So I stamped this with a little Distress Archival Ink in the color “ground espresso”.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope to see you again soon! Bye,
Craft sensations (a Dutch brand) has recently started a private facebook group where Sandra, one of the designteam members, shows us how to make cute projects from craft sensations products. Very nice. One of the first projects in September is this card. Cards like this are not on my number 10 list to make, but it never hurts to trie something new once in a while!
I have been busy with it all afternoon, but the result is very nice. The Dutch text on the back card says: “know that I am thinking of you!”
